I had to install AnyConnect 3 on my Centos machine (yes, I know, it is long past end of life – but sometimes you have to take one step back to take two steps forward) and when I launched it I got the message:

./vpnui: error while loading shared libraries: libpangox-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Turns out that libpangox has been obsoleted – but – dont despair! Search and find pangox-compat-0.0.2-2.el7.x86_64.rpm and you will be up and running again!!
